Snow BJJ Team Aims High Following Successful Tournament Weekend

 Snow BJJ Team Sets Sights on World Championship Titles in 2016

Alliance Jiu-Jitsu of North Richland Hills – Snow Mixed Martial Arts & Fitness

The Alliance Jiu-Jitsu affiliated, Snow BJJ Team, sets its sights on the World Championships in June, 2016 with hopes of clenching its first World titles, ever. After a successful weekend, both the kids BJJ and adult BJJ competition teams shined.

The Snow BJJ kids team competed in North Richland Hills, at the NYTEX Sports Centre, taking home 9 gold medals out of eight competitors! We are so proud of these kiddos! They show so much dedication and passion in their training. Each one of these kiddos listed below is an example to all of their peers, both at the academy and at school where they are always winning awards from their teachers for their exemplary behavior and attitudes! Congratulations to all of you boy and girls!

Snow BJJ Team Results from the 2016 Texas Grappling Challenge in NRH (kids):

  • Timur – 2nd place no-gi
  • Coco – 1st place Gi, 1st place no-Gi
  • Kaden – 2nd place Gi, 2ndplace no-Gi
  • Romeo (Tank) – 1st place Gi, 1st place no-Gi
  • Gabriel – 1st place no-Gi, 2nd place Gi
  • Britton – 1st place no-Gi, 1st place Gi
  • Rubye – 1st place no-Gi, 2nd place Gi
  • Kara – 1st place no-Gi

Snow BJJ Team Results at the 2016 Atlanta Winter International Open IBJJF (adults):

  • Kade Lawson – 2nd place (won 3 matches, lost the final by 1 advantage with score of 0-0)
  • Gabriela Lembcke – 3rd place (refree error caused a failure to award Gaby 2 points, which would have won her the match against the eventual division winner)
  • Shannon Walden – Lost her first match b 5-2, but showed a great comeback and lots of heart and determination
  • Christopher Sales – 1st place (won two matches by armbar submission)
  • Samuel Snow – 3rd place
