XKO 27 at the Gas Monkey Live – Dallas

The Ninja has emerged victorious in his 2nd professional MMA fight! Snow MMA’s own Federico “Argentinian Ninja” Olivera, entered the ring on September 12th, 2015 for his second professional Mixed Martial Arts bout. Calm, collected, and well-prepared, coach Freddy did not let the pressure get to him that night. Using the confidence gathered after a grueling fight camp and a win in his professional boxing debut a few weeks prior, the “Ninja” performed at a level that much more closely resembles his true ability as a fighter, athlete, and martial artist. Anyone who trains with Ninja (whether it be boxing, Muay Thai, Jiu-Jitsu, Wrestling, conditioning, etc) knows that this young man is beyond talented and has worked his whole life to become the martial artist he is today.

A slow start to round one had the three of us in his corner shouting instructions at our champ from cage side. All three of the corner men knew what Ninja was capable of, and we wanted to see him unleash his best weapons. Fortunately, his patient timing paid off as his speed and power met with a right hand on his opponent’s chin, dropping him instantly. Ninja pounced, and was devastating with strikes from the top side mount, half guard, and mount positions; eventually, capitalizing on his opponent’s extended right arm to finish with a beautiful arm lock submission in round 2.
