JR SAMURAIS 1 (ages 7-12)

A child below the age of 7 must graduate from our Lil Monsters program in order to be accepted into the Jr Samurais program. Youth ages 12 and up can attend our “Eagles” classes (ages 12-15).  This class meets on *Monday- Wednesday- Friday at 4 PM*

JR SAMURAIS 2 (ages 7-12)

*This class meets Monday to Thursday at 6 PM and Saturdays at 10 AM


The Kids BJJ belt ranking system is uniform for our academy for ages 4-15 and is also the standard around the world used by the IBJJF (International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation), as well as the JJGF (Jiu-Jitsu Global Federation). See chart below for age groupings…

Why belt ranks? The ranking system in martial arts serves several purposes, one of these being a tool of positive-affirmation. This is a way to encourage kids to continue by visual recognition of their efforts and progress. Another reason why ranks are important (especially for children) is to organize students into groupings/classes/training based on his/her experience. Organizing students by rank is especially important for competition purposes so that a child is matched with another of similar experience and skill level.
